Our Story
Welcome to the SKudio! Founded by principal designers & partners Saqib & Keziah. With over a decade of experience in client relations, and 6 years in the interior design industry, we founded SK Studio to bring personalized and thoughtful designs to homes worldwide. Our paths converged while working at traditional firms, sharing common goals and a passion for design. We joined forces to establish SK Studio—a virtual interior design studio based in Toronto, Canada.
Our Why
The idea of starting a virtual interior design firm appealed to us for several reasons. We wanted the freedom to work with people worldwide without being limited by physical location. Additionally, we aimed to offer our services to those who may not have had access to traditional in-person interior design services. Our shared experience as minorities in the industry fueled our passion to create a firm with strong cultural foundations.
Our Approach
At SK Studio, we believe in creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional. Our design philosophy integrates traditional and modern techniques, utilizing various 3D rendering software and drafting tools. Our design foundation is rooted in modern styles such as Scandinavian, minimalist, mid-century modern, Japandi, and Wabi-sabi. We work thoughtfully to ensure each space achieves a cohesive and timeless aesthetic.
